Specifications
Application of fire-resistant plaster to structures made of steel, reinforced concrete and brick.Supply and application of fire-resistant plaster to protect steel (new or old, galvanised or non-galvanised), reinforced concrete and pre-stressed reinforced concrete (beams, pillars, ceilings, etc.) structures against fire. For application at any height, either vertically or horizontally and with any inclination, using a spray or special equipment.
The thickness of the protective coating must be determined using an accurate fire-prevention project which specifies the elements to be treated and the level of protection required.
The sizing parameters for steel structures refer to UNI 9503 (2007), while those for reinforced and pre-stressed concrete – at experimental and analytical level – are based on UNI VVF 9502, until the national appendixes of the Eurocodes are issued.
The coating must also comply to that envisaged by point C.5 annex C of Decree of Ministry of the Interior of 16 February 2007.
In the case of the analytical calculation of thickness, the certification of resistance to fire (fire-prevention project, experimental certification, correct application, operating correspondence) will be issued by a qualified professional in conformity to that envisaged by Ministerial Decree of 4 May 1998 and by Circular Letter of the Ministry of the Interior of 24 April 2008, regarding the new form for presentation of the C.P.I by the Professional registered in the rolls envisaged by law 818 of 1984.
