Steel – Defence of mechanical properties

Steel is widely used in construction for its excellent characteristics, however, it has a conflicted relationship with fire. If, on the one hand, fire is necessary for producing and forging steel, on the other hand, exposure to the heat of a file can reduce its mechanical properties and cause the structure to collapse.
